Elder Adamek Weekly Update - Sept. 22, 2014

Hello from Kuna!

My new companion's name is Elder Deal. He is from Sacramento. He is awesome and doesn't need a whole lot of training. Since we are both new to Kuna and the ward here, we are doing what missionaries call "shotgunning" this area. It just means that both missionaries are new and know nothing about what is going on. We are also "whitewashing" the area, which means there were Sister missionaries here before. Needless to say, we have a lot to live up to because Sister missionaries are always better than Elders.

Despite us knowing almost nothing about Kuna, we had a baptism this past week. It was a great experience for E. Deal since it was his first week and we were able to teach the message of the Restoration (http://goo.gl/PnuJme) to the people at the baptism. The girl that was baptized has really grown in testimony and faith in Jesus Christ through learning about the restored Gospel.

Otherwise, this past week has been full of planning, praying a lot, visiting people we have never met before and being amazed at miracles that have occurred in our lives and in the lives of others.

I hope you are all doing well! Have a great week!

Love,

Elder Adamek
